Cookie policy
- Introduction
This cookie policy (hereinafter the “Cookie Policy”) refers to the website (the “Site”) and should be understood as forming part of the Privacy Policy (available at the following link). The data controller is COIMA Image S.r.l. with headquarters at Piazza Gae Aulenti No. 12, Milan 20154, Italy (hereinafter, the “Company” or the “Data Controller”).
To exercise your rights under Articles 15-21 of Regulation (EU) No. 679 of 27 April 2016 (the “Regulation” or “GDPR”) or for any communication concerning the processing of personal data covered by this Cookie Policy, please send an email to privacy@coimaimage.it.
- Data collection using Cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites visited by users (the “Users”) or an application send and record on Users’ terminals. Using cookies, a website can remember Users’ actions and preferences (such as login data, language choice, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again.
Cookies are therefore used to authenticate the computer, to monitor sessions and to store information on the activities of users accessing a website. Cookies may also contain a unique identification code that enables Users’ browsing within the website to be tracked for statistical purposes. They may also be used to personalise advertisements displayed during browsing and marketing activities targeting Users, so that they conform to their interests and preferences.
When browsing a website, Users may also receive cookies from websites or web servers other than the one being visited (so-called “third-party” cookies) on their computer or mobile device. When on the other hand, cookies are sent by the Data Controller, they are referred to as “first-party cookies”.
Some operations may not be possible without using cookies, as in some cases cookies are technically necessary for the functioning of the website or application.
There are various types of cookies, with different characteristics and functions, and they may remain on Users’ computer or mobile device for varying periods of time: so-called “session cookies”, which are automatically deleted when the browser or application is closed, or “persistent cookies”, which remain on Users’ devices until a predefined expiry date.
Traditionally, a distinction is made between two macro-categories of cookies: “technical cookies” and “profiling cookies”. “Technical cookies”, i.e. cookies used solely for the purpose of transmitting a communication over an electronic communication network, or used to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service that is explicitly requested by Users, do not require Users’ consent. In other words, these cookies are essential for the functioning of the website or necessary to carry out the actions requested by Users.
“Profiling cookies” are cookies used to create User profiles and to send advertising messages in accordance with the preferences expressed by Users when surfing the web, for which prior consent is required.
Cookie settings can be changed at any time. Information on the cookies used by the Site and how to manage their settings is set out below.
The Site uses cookies for both technical and analytical purposes, as explained in the following section.
- Technical cookies
Technical cookies are essential to enable Users to browse the Site, to use its functionalities, to remember Users’ choices (e.g. language, country of origin, etc.), to distribute requests over several servers, to store consent given by Users for certain options (e.g. by accepting the use of certain cookies), and to enable Users to view content and videos. Such cookies do not require Users’ consent. The technical cookies used and their characteristics are indicated in the following table.

The Company may also use third-party analytical and performance cookies on the Site for the same purposes as outlined above. The Company only processes the results of these analyses if the third party uses cookies in connection with the browser installed on the computer or on other devices used by the User to browse the Site.
To activate these cookies, Users can consent (which therefore constitutes the legal basis for processing) via the mechanism shown in the information banner, which Users view on the homepage/landing page of the Site when accessing the same, or as described in point 3 below.
