Bosco Verticale – Penthouse

The penthouse designed by COIMA Image in partnership with Gio Pagani studio occupies the entire top floor of the Confalonieri residential tower at Bosco Verticale.

Bosco Verticale creates a rare urban experience: the sensation of being enveloped by nature, suspended in a softened world where the foliage of the trees — rising from the floors below and inhabiting the planter boxes of the level itself — filters light and muffles the noise of the city. This sensation is the foundation of the entire design concept.

The entrance opens onto a calm, diffused interior, in direct visual continuity with the large terrace running along the entire east façade, which becomes the natural backdrop to the living and dining areas. Jolly Brown marble flooring laid in a reinterpreted palladiana pattern engages with a light oak boiserie panelled in regular moulded frames, set against floor-to-ceiling sliding glazing. Ceiling lights, scattered like random stars, accompany a statement pendant above the dining area.

From the living space, circulation unfolds through material sequences of boiserie and marble cladding: to the west, the kitchen and study; to the south, the more private sleeping quarters, comprising two suites and the master bedroom.

The master bedroom is defined by a central bed conceived as a sculptural installation, integrating a desk that looks out onto the terrace. The en-suite bathroom is clad in titanium travertine, its veining enhancing the carved-out bathtub and walk-through shower — a private spa amplified by mirrored partitions. Marble basins, suspended along continuous windows, extend views across the city even from the most intimate spaces.

All furnishings, designed in collaboration with Gio Pagani, are one-of-a-kind pieces: woods and fabrics selected to evoke a natural, warm and enveloping atmosphere. Through a continuous dialogue between surfaces, textures and natural light filtered by the large terrace plantings, the penthouse opens onto Milan in an atmosphere entirely its own.
