IBM Studios
The establishment of IBM STUDIOS within the Pavilion at Piazza Gae Aulenti opens the space to the city with a fresh cultural proposition and transforms it into a harmonious, flexible, integrated, sustainable, and human-centered space.
This project connects the building with the square and the park, transforming it into a kind of bridge, creating a dialogue with its surroundings by defining new access points and perspectives.
The concept unfolds an exhibition path that can be seen from the square and the park. It’s akin to a continuous walkway that traverses the ground floor spaces, ascends to the first floor leading us into the immersive room, and creates a synergistic and open ensemble.
A distinctive feature is the “technological ribbon” suspended in the auditorium, which can also be seen from the outside. A distinctive feature is the “technological ribbon” suspended in the auditorium, visible also from the outside: a ribbon that envelops the space, generating a covered square that becomes the heart of storytelling.
